Weekly container service resumed at the Port of Portland's Terminal 6 in January with the inaugural call of the 4,360-TEU Qingdao operated by the South Korea-based carrier SM Line. The 52,326-dwt vessel made stops in Shanghai, Pusan, Vancouver and Seattle before calling in Portland to drop off nearly 200 containers being imported, along with 330 empty containers for regional shippers, and loaded more than 70 export containers, most bound for South Korea.
