A URI dive team installed multiple internal seals to stop leakage within a corroded 36-inch ductile iron sanitary outfall force main belonging to the San Francisco PUC. Multiple diver penetrations of up to 300 feet within an inverted siphon that crossed beneath a creek adjacent to SF Bay over several weeks and separate treatment plant outages were required to perform repairs which also included UW placement of grout beneath and around the damaged areas.
